All Seventies look in a $1 Shirt

Its been a while since my last post, studying and worrying can take a toll on me sometimes. But i am back and hopefully for a steady flow of posts. As you can probably tell, i am a huge 70's fan which makes it perfect that its all coming back this season and i am sure it will stay for a while. I got this shirt at a Sunday $1 sale and it was the perfect piece to pair with this old pair of Gap Jeans (that i kept for years knowing it will comeback..which was proud moment when it did! ) and i added a little navy scarf for a more nostalgic look with nude accessories not to overwhelm the red. I spent a whole day in that outfit walking around and grabbing dinner and it was pretty great, felt fresh all day and i give myself an extra point for comfort. let me know what you think.. 70's Inspired Pinafore with Hints of Color Blocking

How Are you guys? Hope you had a good week and ready for an even better weekend. i've had a couple busy weeks from friends visiting from back home to celebrating the husbands Bday. its been exhausting and fun! here is an outfit that i wore for a Sunday BBQ and meet up with friends later. the dress is so light wight which was perfect for the extreme humidity we've had, i styled it with light blue so that the colors complement each other in a 70's manner, with camel clogs for being neutral  and added just a hint of color mainly red with the necklace as chocker and the watch. Hello Lovelies, its been a while i know! Its been crazy lately with my family coming to visit from across the globe  and having to work, my head was kinda all over the place and i couldn't focus on writing or taking pictures for my blog. but its all over now and i am back and excited to continue getting inspired and posting more and more.  we sis this shoot not long ago as the weather has been kinda schizophrenic lately. I like to keep warm but also have an option to take off a layer when it suddenly gets hot  as it usually does in LA. i paired those mustard pants with a black shirt and added the coat that has some yellows and pinks in it to match and create more of a suit look. let me know what you think its always nice to get feedback. hope you're off to great start of the week.

A Sunny Cold Day in Neutrals

Hello lovelies! For most of the winter time, i am pretty much dressed in these colors. for some reasons i specially love neutrals in winter it feels comforting and warm somehow(of course 70's inspired!).  i've had this skirt for a couple of years now and its my favorite, you can always dress it up or down, buttoned or unbuttoned and it still looks good. i am down with the flu this week and looking at these pictures of me in a better state makes me feel a little better. let me know what you think and stay warm!

Hey There! As you might know i have just gotten back from a six day trip to beautiful New Orleans. we didn't end up taking a lot of pictures on the trip like i hoped to, but i guess we were just too fascinated with the beauty of this city that we forgot taking pictures of ourselves. so here are the only pictures we managed to take just in random spots around the city, and let me tell you New orleans is beautiful and a must visit if you like listening to live music all night and eating spicy food! hope you have a good week ahead i know mine will be a little tough :)

Easing to Fall with Green & Nudes

The weather is becoming cooler and nicer, Although i am not ready yet to give up on dresses or flowers. Its my Favorite time to actually dress up these summer dresses a little bit. just adding this trench to the mix gives more of an interesting look, the color mix with the green and also the high low length situation plus the booties is definitely not that summery anymore. let me know how you like to dress your summer pieces into fall. also in another note i will be in New Orleans this next week and i cannot wait to discover the south and go vintage shopping. if you guys have any tips, please pass em along. hope you have a great rest of your week.

Blue is one of my all time favorite colors, its one of the few that i can wear a full outfit of. And when we decided on an Impromptu picnic by the lake afternoon, it was the first color to think of. So i played with it a little and added the mix of prints so the outfit is more interesting, its always the little details just this hint of stripes adds a better visual than a regular blue shirt and jeans. it Suited the place, and the picnic was wonderful! let me know what you think and wish you a good productive week ahead :)

Happy Belated Labor Day!!!! hope you girls are relaxed after this long weekend as i am. Sometimes all the happiness comes form ordering pizza in and enjoying a movie, and that exactly what we did yesterday and how nice it was. Now i am energized and ready to take on the week. here is a quick post of my outfit on the weekend for a day out with the family.I wore this simple but very flattering H&M dress and just added the vest and belt as an addition to give more edge to the dress and make it not so girly looking. let me know what you think.

Mom Jeans & Cropped Jacket

I've had this Jacket for about 2 years now, and honestly didn't quite wear it that often just because its too dramatic of a piece that could easily turn into a costume if not styled properly. so when i scored this Mom jeans from Topshop a week ago ON SALE! this jacket was the first thing i thought of, as the high waisted jeans is the perfect piece to balance with the jacket. the embellishments added depth to the outfit without it being too dramatic, don't you think?. We took these pictures at the Griffith Park on a beautiful sunny day here in LA and it provided the perfect backdrop to the outfit. let me know what you think and hope you're having a good mellow week.
