70's Inspired Pinafore with Hints of Color Blocking

How Are you guys? Hope you had a good week and ready for an even better weekend. i've had a couple busy weeks from friends visiting from back home to celebrating the husbands Bday. its been exhausting and fun! here is an outfit that i wore for a Sunday BBQ and meet up with friends later. the dress is so light wight which was perfect for the extreme humidity we've had, i styled it with light blue so that the colors complement each other in a 70's manner, with camel clogs for being neutral  and added just a hint of color mainly red with the necklace as chocker and the watch. Peace & Love/ Turban & Band Tee!

As you might see, i am still pretty much in my 70's inspiration phase. here is a shoot we did a couple of days before new years, when the weather was actually nice and warm. i put this outfit together for a day running around doing errands and apartment hunting, its pretty comfortable and basic but still just the addition of the band and the scarf gives it a nice edge. hope you guys enjoyed your holidays and ready to take 2015 by storm, wishing us all good luck and prosperity.

I guess the title says it all! i just purchased these shoes a couple of weeks ago and have been obsessed ever since. this was the first outfit i put together just so i can wear the shoes. I obviously put together something pretty simple,a little 80's inspired mainly black with a bit of a grunge to balance the shoes. it was an easy night walking around  Abbot Kinney and having some Food Trucks. hope you guys had a nice start of the week and ready for the  festivities ahead.

I have been living in these pants since i bought them around 3 weeks ago, i was on my way to the movies when i spotted the pants, obviously i went in and bought them and how happy am that i did. its so comfortable and versatile that it works with almost everything, i am kinda on a hunt for different colors now. since i am also obsessed with jumpsuits and onesies i cheated it this time and wore the high wasted pants with the strapless top and voila! the black blended in perfectly. i get really excited when i cheat outfits, it opens the eye to more creative ways of combining outfits :) let me know what you think, and keep posted if you spot wide colored pants! hope your having a beautiful Sunday.

I wore this outfit for a day spent with friends walking around the venice pier on the weekend. it was pretty practical for me with the shortsfor when we decided to take the bikes for a ride, and also without the blazer it was pretty loose and breezy which was perfect for the warm weather, and around sunset i wore the jacket which adds more of a chic touch to take me through the night :).let me know what you think. hope your weekend was fun and relaxing :)

I am back!!!!! and how happy i am to be back. it was such a nice and hectic trip. although i am still struggling with jetlag, i was finally able to wake up at a decent hour to at least try and get back to my normal routine. this shoot was one of 2 last shoots that we took before traveling, it was my first time to actually attempt and pull my hair up to a bun and it worked after years of only having so short hair that a pin falls off! so i got so excited and wore this outfit that was randomly inspired by the bun, i guess playful was the mood. let me know what you guys think of the bun and the outfit and share with me what radical changes have you done to your look lately. hope you had a happy 4th and weekend.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. by the time this post is up i will be back in Egypt for 3 weeks. i will keep posting from there and if you follow me on Instagram then you are definitely going to get the daily dose. I wore this outfit on a saturday for a day out in Venice,we had lunch then sat by the beach for a bit and then went to a friends place.so this outfit was kinda meant to be flexible and comfortable enough for me to enjoy the day but don't look so beat up by the time for dinner. let me know what you think and what are your favorite day to night outfits. wish me luck and i do the same :)

Blood Orange

I was never  into the color orange, as a matter of fact i don't think i have owned more than one item or two in orange my whole life. its not that i hate orange is general, i think its a very tricky color to find a good shade. So when i found that shirt while shopping, the color caught my eye right away since it is orange but still muted enough for me to be able to pull off(i am not into neons in general). this shirt is actually knee length but i wanted to wear with a contrasting but not clashing color so i wore this chiffon maxi skirt over it and i tied the sides for a fresher take  & then i added the greenish olive coat to complement the orange. I picked up this perfect length 50's floral dress at the flea market last year and its been worn a couple of times before, i sometimes like to pair it with more black accents to give it more of an egde or  simply go with brown/tan accents for the simple softer look (like i did here)for a day out.  i normally don't buy shoes from forever 21 but i found this one and another red pair that i honestly didn't want to pay much for, as their styles are pretty popular this season so they're done by almost everyone. The sandals are at pretty comfortable height so i am able to walk and it looks good.let me know what you think :)

Hello there!! Hope everyone had a happy easter, it was a nice day out here in Venice. i personally snoozed off taking advantage of the time off . but before snoozing off i wore this outfit for a day of running errand in Santa Monica, so i wanted something layered just in case the weather gets crazy and comfortable to walk in. so i wore these old pair of jeans that i got years ago from a men's place, and i paired it with black and white striped top and vintage blazer that i scored in hollywood in 2009. i usually prefer breaking the black and white with a color so this time i chose the red sandals and glasses to add some color. let me know what you think, have a good start of the week :)

These pictures were taken last week when it was still sunny and warm , its been gloomy and kinda windy here in Venice.Anyways i was wearing this outfit just for a day out running errands and then a movie, i usually like to wear something comfortable if i am out for a long time and since it was warm it was a chance for me to experiment with sillouettes rather than cuts, its been something i've been interested in trying lately. i combined these red sandals to make the pink pop more, it was inspired by the scarf i wore as a turban. let me know what you think.

Hope everyone had a good weekend! the weather was so nice this weekend, and Venice was oh so busy. Last week we took my sister to Visit the LACMA and spend the day on the other side of town, so i wanted to wear something comfortable and casual enough for a museum but looks nice enough for a possible night around Downtown.Obviously those overalls were the most comfortable thing i owned so thats exactly what i did, and i paired it with a striped top for a freshition and lots of my silver for a fresher addition and of course my color of choice was to add more blue, you'll find me wearing blue a lot!

Hi There! Since its still kinda wintery here in venice, i took the last chance to actually try a winter white outfit. well this isn't really white, which i think is better, as white is too strong sometimes.i like off-white better, its a bit softer specially for a whole outfit. i added the Brown just for a warmer feel. let me know what you think :) hope you had a good week!
